As guests move down Wahaca’s stairs and through into the restaurant’s dining space, they will find themselves surrounded by street art of a different kind. The geometric blocks of colour, overlaid with botanical stencils that adorn the walls are the work of Maria Nuria Mora Moreno.

Madrid-based Nuria’s work is more usually found on the outside of buildings in cities including Paris, Rio and Stockholm. Drawing on the colours of wahaca’s interior, the images are the first in a series of site-specific art commissions by Wahaca.
